There will be another EcolChange seminar taking place next Thursday.
Senior researcher at the applied ecology group of the Department of Botany, Arvo Tullus will talk about the complexities of climate change effects on woody vegetation. Title of the seminar is:
Does competition between trees modify their response to climate change?
Time: Thursday, 15. December 2016 at 15.15
Place: Tartu, Lai 40-218 (Vaga auditorium)
The interactive effects of climate variables and tree–tree competition are important but still insufficiently understood drivers of forest response to global climate change. I will speak about the results of a few studies which have explored this topic including a recent study conducted in young deciduous forests exposed to elevated air humidity in the FAHM experiment.
NB. This is the last EcolChange seminar on this calendar year.
